Some tips on the city

Santander is the capital of the Spanish region of Cantabria. It is located at the Bay of Santander which is the center and soul of the city. The metropolitan area of the Bay has a population of about 300000 inhabitants. There are many things you can see and do in Santander. In any case I give you here some "personal" tips about the city. I hope you have the chance to enjoy it.

Gastronomy

The north of Spain is very well known because of the gastronomy and Santander is not the exception. These are some of the best places for pinchos:

This is a modern art museum built by the family owning the Bank of Santander. 

Museum of prehistoric art 

Cantabria is the region in the world with a higher number of caves with prehistoric art. The museum is really nice.
