MultiDark2024 is the annual meeting of the Spanish network, Multidark, funded by the Agencia Estatal Española del Ministerio de Ciencia y Tecnología (RED2022-134411-T). This time will be joint with a special meeting of RENATA (Red Nacional de astroparticulas ) in order to prepare the update on the European Strategy of Particle Physics

Joint meeting with the RENATA network to discuss the "Update of the European Strategy for Particle Physics".

The ESPP will be updated by next year and needs input from the different countries and communities. Taking advantage of the MultiDark meeting, as there is a large intersection with the RENATA network community, we will use two days to discuss the input to the ESPP, preparing a document that will be included in the general one of Spanish particle physics.
This will be followed by the "standard" MultiDark workshop. To date, science has not been able to identify what makes up 85% of the matter in the Universe. Elucidating the nature of dark matter (DM) is a key challenge for modern physics. MultiDark is a research network supported by the Spanish Research Agency that brings together theoretical and experimental groups of particle physicists, astrophysicists and cosmologists from 15 Spanish universities and research institutes, experts in astroparticle physics, to tackle this task from a multidisciplinary perspective.
These meetings are crucial for the exchange of new ideas, progress and state-of-the-art knowledge in DM. The scientific programme will cover a range of topics in the field of DM, presenting the latest results from the different participating groups at the interface of particle physics, astrophysics, cosmology and instrumentation. Participants will include members of the network and some invited guests to introduce new ideas. The first day will be dedicated to a joint meeting with the RENATA network to discuss the "Update of the European Strategy for Particle Physics”.
This workshop is the second of the new network, which started in June 2023, and the 21st since the birth of the MultiDark community in 2009. In its original form, MultiDark was a project of excellence involving most of the Spanish community working in the field of DM. The project was funded by the CONSOLIDER-Ingenio 2010 programme for a period of 5 years, starting in December 2009, and extended for another 2.5 years until June 2017.
